Keeping rubber mats out of landfill
Our mats are made of tough stuff – it's one reason that our customers keep coming back. And once thousands of muddy boots, kid’s trainers, paws and polished heels have travelled across your mat, day in, day out, it’s time to replace it.
Rubber is a highly recyclable material and can be remade into many items, from cushioning under astro turf - making a kid’s soccer game a bit softer, or even hospital flooring for reduced staff fatigue.
Unfortunately, rubber represents 2% of our landfill waste here in New Zealand – meaning this reusable resource represents 260,000 tonnes of the 13 million tonnes sent to landfill every year*.
With our mat recycling program, it is our goal to keep rubber mats out of landfill, helping to give this valuable resource a second life.
Rubber Matting Takeback Service
We’ve partnered with rubber recycling facilities around the country to create our Mat Takeback Service, where for a small fee, we’ll collect your mats back, and make sure they are given a second life. Through our recycling program, we can help you to achieve your solid waste reduction goals.
How it Works
Once your rubber mat reaches the end of its long life, for the small charge of return freight, we’ll come to collect your mats and ensure that they are taken to the appropriate recycling facility.
